Emergencies and Home Visits

Emergency Appointments:

Our receptionists are extensively trained to help you. Please give as much information as possible to help them arrange a suitable appointment for you. You do not have to give the receptionist clinical details but it can help prioritise the large amount of calls for on the day appointments we do get.

Whilst we are closed and you are in need of an emergency appointment (not A&E related) please telephone either of our telephone numbers which is automatically redirected to the on call services.

We aim to give children who are ill priority when booking appointments.

Home Visits:

Home visits are for patients who are too ill or frail to attend the surgery and the Doctor will generally telephone the patient or relative prior to arranging the visit.

Please request home visits by 10.30 am if possible.ᅠIf a patient needs to be seen urgently please let the Receptionist know.ᅠThe Receptionist may need to ask for more information to allow the Doctor to assess the degree of urgency.ᅠ Children can usually be seen much quicker at the Surgery and in an emergency will be seen straight away.
